Important Safety Information
The Barid™ Heat Protection Mat is designed to help protect surfaces from accidental contact with hot charcoal and embers. It is not fireproof and does not prevent fires.
Never leave hot charcoal, embers, or any direct heat source on the mat longer than necessary for retrieval. Recommended retrieval time is 8–10 seconds. Heat resistance may vary depending on the surface beneath the mat, charcoal temperature, and exposure conditions and is not a guarantee of safety .
After retrieving fallen charcoal, carefully inspect the mat and surrounding area for remaining embers, heat damage, or signs of burning.
Safety Tips

Keep a fire extinguisher accessible. Know where it is located and how to use it.

Keep flammable materials away. Ensure curtains, furniture, paper, and other combustible items are clear of your heat source.

Never leave a heat source unattended. Always supervise lit charcoal and charcoal holders.

Extinguish charcoal completely. When finished, safely extinguish all remaining charcoal with water in a suitable heat-resistant container.
